This article is about a/an Makai Knight in Garo: Makai no Hana

Crow (クロウ Kurō?) is a Makai Knight and one of the supporting characters in Garo: Makai no Hana. His real name isn't mentioned in the series, instead going by his title. He is known as the Phantom Knight.

Character History

Not much is known about Crow's past, other than that he was recruited as part of the Shadowfolk as a child. He was trained to be a Makai Knight under Eiji Busujima, and would eventually earn his title. Like most Makai Knights, his tasks involve destroying Horrors and protecting humanity, however, he follows the strict code of his society: Destroy Gates when the sun is up, and destroy Horrors in the night, all without being seen and noticed.

After the events of Garo: Makai no Hana it was hinted that Crow has temporarily taken over the leadership of the Shadowfolk, up until his master serves his sentence.

Unlike Raiga's caring and cheerful personality, Crow is a bit more silent and observant, befitting his status as a member of the Shadowfolk. However, he is also rather polite and respectful, often apologizing to Raiga when it seems he's stepping out of line. However, when Eyrith took control of his body, he eventually let out his frustrations, saying that he disliked the Golden Knight and his caring attitude. Eventually, he snaps out of the control and helps in dealing with Raiga when he turns into a Lost Soul Beast. Crow is also very confident in his abilities as a Makai Knight, often brushing other's criticisms in his fighting and backing them up.

Crow the Phantom Knight

As a Makai Knight, Crow is given the title of The Phantom Knight. As such, he can don the Crow Armor to defeat powerful Horrors. He does this by spinning his sword up his head with one hand, drawing a circle using the side of its blade, before bringing the circle down with his free hand in a jutsu position. The portal opens and the Armor equips on him.

The Crow Armor is unique amongst the other Makai Armors, due to its ability to sprout wings and allow the Knight to fly. This, however, burns 20 seconds of the armor's time. In flight mode, the ears of the helmet fold down to form a visor, resembling a Crow's head.

  • Makai Blade - Crow's blade takes on the form of a ninjatō. When transformed, the blade becomes more pronounced.
  • Olva - Crow's Madougu, which takes the form of a brooch. Olva's personality is that of a young girl.
  • Makai Shurikens - Crow also carries several shurikens that he uses for long-ranged combat. He also carries special homing shurikens, which Olva can also transfer her consciousness to for reconnaissance purposes.
